Hannah Blom π³π±
Hannah Blom was born in Amsterdam in 1960.
She has been a family practitioner for many years. Her whole life she made drawings and sculptures. From 2011 on she has her own business as a sculptor. Although most of her work is abstract you can see the influence of her work as a doctor. The sculpture that she shows here made her think of a human chest and is called βthoraxβ.
Her sculptures can also been seen as drawings, but then spatial. Her metal structures are often inspired by nature. They are fragile, balancing and sturdy at the same time. They seem to escape the rules of the gravity. As a daughter of an architect she has been at construction sites very often. The unfinished metal rods sticking out of the concrete puzzled her. There was still future to dream of.
