Han van den Boogaard π³π±
Han studied architecture at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. As from that moment he is fascinated by geometric shapes, such as the cube and the circle, and the mystery of the golden ratio. Most of his paintings and sculptures are more or less related to these forms.
He is a member of KadK (βkunst aan de kadeβ), a group of artists with their own different craftmanship and style.
Nature is one of the sources of inspiration.
Since 2010 Han is making Land Art objects from living materials, like willow trees. His designs are based on the location and the story of the client. These sculptures that can measure up to 30 metres are found throughout The Netherlands, both in public as in private places.
Wood and steel are the materials of which most of his installations are made of. All the objects are unique items, and are created based on interviews with the client.
Beside Land Art and installations, Han makes paintings and drawings. Abstract, landscapes and portraits.
