Erik Buijs 🇳🇱

Erik Buijs asserts himself as a classical sculptor who makes clay. His lumps of clay are material processes of his thoughts that are constructed in such a way that the bronze caster can put a mold around them. The work does not have to meet more conditions in a material sense. They must function in the environment for which they were created. The meaning of the image is carefully examined by Buijs and analyzed for the various interpretations that are evoked. He does not dwell on architecture as much as he gives his outdoor sculptures a museological character. He is neither an environmental artist nor an autonomous artist. He is a visual thinker who has risen from his thoughts. Le penseur has been conceived and put to work.
